Eleanor Marie (Reyna) Prater April 4, 1945-January 5, 2014 Our dearly beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt passed away after a lifetime battle with many illnesses, on Sunday January 5th surrounded by her loving family. Her strong will to survive and the great love and prayers of her family and friends, kept her here with us beyond expectations. Eleanor was born on April 4th, 1945 in Ogden, UT to Pedro and Dora Reyna. She was raised in Clinton, Utah and attended schools in Davis County and completed her education at Clearfield High School. She married Louie V. Martinez and they were later divorced. Years later she then married Pat Prater and soon after they moved to Luebbering MO of which she resided until June of 2013. She then lived in her childhood home until her time of her death. She is survived by her daughter Toni (Robbie) Holben (Layton), Louis (Booboo) Martinez (Lonedell, MO), Dino Martinez (Lonedell, MO), her grandchildren Eric and Christian Rodriguez, TJ, Shayde, Gabe, Macy, and Jaxson Martinez, Mercede, Mariah, Ty and Jaycee Martinez. She also had 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Bessie Reyna (Wynn) Mortensen, Joe (Jackie) Reyna, Benny (Kathy) Reyna, Annie Fraga, Manuel Reyna, Margaret (Ramiro) Bravo, Delilah (Don) Walker, Josie Martinez and Nina Reyna. Her special pet Emmy, her parents Pedro and Dora Reyna, brothers Franklin & Frankie Reyna and many other family members, preceded her in death. She always enjoyed crafts, sewing and crocheting. She was always making special gifts for everyone and anytime there was a new baby born into the family you were sure to receive homemade baby blankets and burp bibs. Eleanor was always in the kitchen cooking, she was known for her amazing baking. She also loved collecting dolls. She was such a petite little lady that she even made most of her own clothes. Her favorite color was yellow and her favorite flowers were roses. She never forgot a birthday, mother's day or any other special occasion, even though she lived in Missouri for so many years away from her family, she was sure to send a card or make a call. The family would like to give a special thanks to Intermountain Hospice, especially Launi, Vicki and Sandra and to everyone in the Intermountain Hospice Program. We would also like to thank her very special caregivers: her angel of a sister Madeline who took her into her home and her niece Bonnie who took care of her like she would her own mother. Thank you also to Barbara Fischer and Tonya Youngblood who were her dear friends in Missouri and her best friend of 38 years, Toni Bishop. Eleanor will be missed greatly by all who were lucky enough to know her. Words cannot describe what a special family member and friend she was. May you rest in heaven with all the angels and live for eternity in peace and happiness. She is being cremated by Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory Ogden. Memorial services will be held at LDS Church in Clinton at 702 W. 1300 N on Saturday January 11th. You may greet the family from 1:00 to 1:30 PM, services will follow and then a dinner in her honor will be served
