Elizabeth Jane Lovato

November 25, 1948 — October 17, 2021

Elizabeth Jane Samora Lovato, 72 , passed away peacefully on Oct 17, 2021 surrounded by her family, a month shy of her 73rd birthday.
She was born November 25, 1948, to Ralph and Lena Samora, in Ogden, Utah. Elizabeth (Chab) grew up in Clearfield, Utah, later moved to Ogden when she married Florentino Lovato on May 21, 1982, They were married for 39 years. Later moving to Washington State where they resided for 14 years, later returned to Utah in 2002.
Liz loved her children and grandchildren very much, and there was nothing (nothing) she wasn’t willing to do for them. Although she showed a tough love to others, she had a kind and caring heart, and loved her family very much. Liz enjoyed hanging out with her family
listening to music, dancing to the cowboy cumbia, gambling, and playing Yahtzee, in which her grandchildren knew to always let grandma win!
A special appreciation to her daughters Paula and Andrea who cared for her during the past year, special niece Kim who always went to visit her throughout the years. We are going to miss our mother, grandmother very much, and her delicious cooking of enchiladas, tamales, tortillas and chicken fried rice.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband Florentino Lovato, three daughters, one son, Paula Abeyta (Tony) Gonzalez, West Valley; Johnica (Garcia) Alaniz, Pasco, WA; Andrea Lovato, West Valley; John Garcia West Valley; sister Delores Samora Pecht Ogden; 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and great-grandson Ezekiel Alaniz.
