Elma E Castellano

April 21, 1928 — February 14, 2009

OGDEN-Elma Castellano died at home early Saturday morning, February 14, 2009, from complications of congestive heart failure. She was born April 21, 1928 in Sidney, Montana.

She was an avid member of the Jehovah Witnesses and spent her time taking care of others in need, family or otherwise.

Mom leaves behind her sons, David, Daniel, John, Paul and Joseph all of Washington Terrace, Utah and her daughters; Elizabeth (Mitch) Coziar, Las Vegas, NV., Cathy (Jay) Ottley, UT., Bonnie (Joseph) Howard , Las Vegas, NV., Irene Hansen, UT. She enjoyed spending time with her grand children; Jeramie Herra, Matt Ayers, Vanessa Ayers, Anna Young, Dustin Tesch, Brandyn Tesch, Adrian Finch, Andrea Ottley, Corbin Hansen, Makenzie and Ethan Castellano, and Alex Castellano. Also surviving are her brothers; Laurence and Manny Escobedo, AZ., her sisters; Joyce Flores, UT., Louise Demas, AZ, Virginia Garza, TX, Janie Presas, TX, Margie Zazee, AZ., Mary Whittaker, NJ, and her many nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Noe' Castellano, her daughter Gina, brother Joe Escobedo and loving sister, Florence Sienz.

The Castellano family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the following: Caroline Gift with Hospice Care for her special care of our mother. We would also like to thank her long time friends; Sulema Escobedo, Lelia Dule, Ken and Pat Yates, Judith O'Conner, Joann Makin of Ogden, UT., Cheryl Daniels and Lisa Badgett of Las Vegas, NV. We would also like to express a very special thanks to Jorge and Pam Ollveras, and the family of the late Maria Gabaldon, her friend of many years and all other members of the congregation who knew and loved her as we did.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009, at 3:00 p.m. - Kingdom Hall for Jehovah Witness, 1950 West 4400 So. Roy, Utah.

We would also like to acknowledge promptness, professionalism and care of the Washington Terrace Fire Dept. and Paramedics Squads 51 and 55, Roy City Fire Dept., and the Weber County Sheriffs.
