Eloy Chavez

Eloy L. Chavez, 78, was reunited with the love of his life Sarah and sons Jerry, Filimon and Frankie, Friday, May 19, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Eloy was born in Grants, New Mexico on November 1, 1938, to Rafael and Sophia Chavez.

On April 19, 1958, he married the love of his life, Sarah L. Chavez, and together they had nine kids. He was the biggest Utah Jazz fan and he loved his cheeseburgers.

He is survived by two sisters and two brothers, Ida, Silveria, Auturo and Ermino all of Albuquerque, New Mexico. His children Mary Jane (Otis Sr) Shroulote, Diego (Cathy) Chavez, Sophie (Lee) Williams, Paul ( Mary Ellen) Chavez, Peter Chavez, Gary (Miriam) Chavez, Johnny ( Shauna) Chavez, 13 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rafael and Sophia Chavez, his beloved wife Sarah L. Chavez and three sons Frankie, Filimon and Jerry Chavez. His two brothers Florenzo

Eloy's family would like to thank Harrison Pointe, Our House, and Applegate Hospice for the special care they provided over the last year.

Farewell services will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017, at Potters House, 2873 Quincy Ave, in Ogden at 6 p.m.
