Erlinda Flora Morrison

Flora Morrison, 87, of Nevada, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on August 19th, 1937, in Conjelon, New Mexico, Flora was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother who dedicated her life to spreading joy and kindness.

After earning her degree as a Cosmetologist and Esthetician she went on to run her own businesses Flo’s Hairstyling and Flo’s Beauty Shop. She became a well sought after instructor in Contact, Reno and Utah due to her amazing talent. She was very proud of the numerous championships and trophies she earned throughout her career.

Flora is remembered by her three children, Rose Hagen, Mike Montoya and Brent Montoya. Her Siblings Mary Velasquez, Danny Leyba (Elaine), Isabel Ballard (Bob) Joe Leyba (Yaditza) and Jane Arambula. Eighteen grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her children Denise Stoddard and Edward Morrison. Her parents, Jose and Fidelia Leyba. Siblings Louie Leyba, Santiago Leyba, Laura Gonzales, Gilbert Leyba and Larry Leyba. Grand children Matthew and Jason Stoddard.

A celebration of Flora’s life will be January 24th, 2025, beginning at St. Joseph’s Church located at 514 24th ST, Ogden, Utah 84401 for Rosary services and Mass starting at 9:30am. Followed by Memorial Services at Aaron’s Mortuary 1050 State St, Clearfield, UT, 84015 at 12:00pm. A gathering and luncheon will follow services at Roy Christian Church 4247 S 1900 W Roy, UT,84067 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.
