Harrisville - Ernie Weaver, 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 23, 2011. Ernie was born March 8, 1931 in Ashland, Ohio to Ross and Dorothy Worcester Weaver. On September 16, 1950, he married his best friend Marilyn Jean Pearce. They were married for 61 years. Ernie began his civil service career at Shelby Supply Depot in Ohio. From there he was transferred to Norton AFB, California and finally to Hill AFB in Utah where he retired after 35 years of service. After retirement, Ernie and Marilyn enjoyed being "snowbirds," traveling extensively throughout the north and southwestern states. Ernie enjoyed golfing, bowling, camping and tending his blue ribbon garden. Most of all he loved fishing. He was the champion fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Linda Anthon, Susan (James) Stoker, and Denise (Steve Reid; 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and his four-legged little buddy, Fred the wonder dog. A heartful thanks to Dad's special angels, Josh, Jason, Pastor Steve, Patsy and Lori. The loving care you provided to our Dad was incredible. Also to Dad's extended family at the Pleasant View Dialysis Center, thank you for your devoted care. Dad, thank you for the tackle box full of memories. Friends may call on Monday, November 28, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the Harrisville Cabin, 725 West Harrisville Road, Harrisville, UT. Cremation under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary.
