Fern Henrie Liddell

December 17, 1920 — January 30, 2013

Fern Henrie Haycock Liddell passed away peacefully at her home on January 30, 2013 at the age of 92. She was born December 17, 1920, in Panguitch, UT, the daughter of John Henrie and Sarah Louise Worthen. She graduated from Panguitch High School and later attended Stevens Henager College, where she graduated in 1939. In 1941, Fern married Howard Rees Haycock with whom she had three children. Fern later married and shared her life with Sidney Andrew Liddell in 1983. She became a step-mother and step-grandmother to Sid's family. Sidney passed away in December 2006. She was a member of the Washington Terrace 6th Ward where she served in various callings over the years. Fern loved music and loved to dance. She was always the consummate lady. Fern was a wonderful woman who touched many people's lives throughout her time here. Anyone who knew her will always remember her as a person who was truly genuine and caring, and a person who never forgot their birthdays or special events. Anyone who knew her was a better person for it. Fern is preceded in death by her three brothers, three sisters, her daughter JoAnn Haycock, and her two husbands Rees Haycock and Sidney Liddell. She is survived by her two sons, Joel Haycock and John Haycock, ten grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a number of other relatives and close friends.
