Flora Janet Hasratian

Janet immigrated to Utah with her mother and daughter following her two brothers to America in 1979. She worked for many years in her brother Tony's restaurant, El Matador. After 20 years she retired.  She enjoyed spending time with her mother (whom she lovingly cared for until her passing in 2002) and daughter.

 

Janet loved to sing and dance. She always saw the beauty in things around her and always had kind words to say. She held many Persian parties in her home with family and friends who will all miss her dearly. She was a very kind, giving, and a humble lady. Always welcoming friends to her home for a good cup of Armenian coffee and great conversations. 

 

Janet was lovingly cared for by her faithful and loving daughter Mitra. A special thanks to her niece Jennifer Hasratian for helping Mitra with the arrangements at this difficult time. She is survived by her daughter Mitra Hakminia (Ogden, Utah), one brother Tony (Paula) Hasratian (Ogden, Utah), one sister-in-law Rosemary Hasratian (Bountiful Utah), and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ovhanis, mother Arpenik, and one brother Artoosh Hasratian. 

 

A celebration of life will be held at their home located at 1151 FARR CT, Ogden, Utah 84403 on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at 4:00 pm food will be served. If you have any extra photos of Janet that you would like to bring and put in a remembrance photo book for her daughter Mitra it would be lovely and much appreciated. Food, finger foods, fruit, and water will be provided if you choose to make a toast to Janet please BYOB.

 

Janet, you were an honorable loving daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Go and rest now in peace until we all see you again.
