Florence Patricia Koford

Patricia Koford passed away on September 22, 2024. She was born in Tremonton, Utah on April 7, 1945, to Pauline and Ivan Roundy. It wasn’t until a decade ago that she learned that her birth certificate listed her name as Florence Patricia Roundy. She had always believed Florence was her middle name!

Pat was the third of four children and is survived by two of them. Her older brother, Frank Roundy of Brigham City, Utah and her younger sister, Mary Roundy (Todd Winters) who can occasionally be found in American Falls, Idaho. Her older brother, Curtis passed away in 1979.

She grew up in Tremonton, graduating from Bear River High School, where she met and later married Gary Lee Koford. Sadly, she lost her husband in 2006.

Gary and Pat made their home in Roy, Utah. Pat worked at the Defense Depot in Ogden until having two children, Mike and Ron. When they were old enough Pat went to work as a pre-school teacher, and then spent numerous years working for the IRS where she found success and wonderful friends.

Pat enjoyed camping, reading, and gardening. Most vacation days were spent with friends and family in the mountains. Most weekends she could be found in the yard.

Pat is survived by two siblings, Frank and Mary (Todd Winters); her two sons, Mike (Christy) and Ron (Mandy); and her favorite things in the world - her 6 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held September 26, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Roy City Cemetery, 5200 South 2300 West, Roy, Utah 84067.
