Fred David Miller, born on June 18, 1953, in Salt Lake City, passed away on December 23, 2024, in West Jordan, Utah. He was the beloved son of Norman Loane Miller and Rayola Violet DeWaal.
Fred led a life filled with devotion and passion. A proud member of the United States Navy from 1980 to 1986, he served as a Nuclear Technician, dedicating his skills to the service of his country. After his military career, Fred spent 40 years at Kennecott Copper, where he was a valued member of the team until his retirement. He was a Certified motorcycle and small engines Mechanic and also had a degree in Drafting.
He was married to Pamela Jean Rogers on October 9, 1973, sharing many cherished moments. Fred was a man of many interests; he loved motorcycles, camping, music, and drawing. He enjoyed riding alongside his fellow brothers and sisters in the local motorcycle community, embracing the freedom of the open road.
Fred is survived by a close friend, Lisa Nielson, his brother Loane (Alice) Miller, and sisters Ranae (Doug) Wrigley, Wanda (Jim) Dellar, and Marla Brimley. He is also remembered by his siblings Robert (Rose) White, Melody V. Hawks, and Vaughn (Abby) Hawks. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wife, (all the Lucky one)
A graveside service will be held in his honor on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the Salt Lake Cemetery, located at 200 N St E, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.
Fred’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His passion for life and service to others will be fondly remembered by family and friends.
