Fredrick Edwin Bremer

December 28, 1932 — November 14, 2012

Fredrick Edwin Bremer passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 due to complications of Multiple Myeloma. Fred was born on December 28, 1932 in Los Angeles, California to Fredrick William Bremer & Jennie Van Leeuwen Bremer. Fred married Jo-Ann Viola Valli, they later divorced. He married Marleone (Mickey) VanZandt, they later divorced. He married Meg Jorgensen and remained a happily married man until her passing 3 years ago. Fred spent many years in Goldfield, Nevada while growing up, until his family moved to California. He remained in California until the late 70's, when the family decided to make Montana their home. He moved to Utah and has spent the remainder of his days in the Ogden area. Fred joined the Air Force during the Korean War and was Honorably discharged from service. Fred tried his hand at several types of jobs, but it seemed that carpentry was going to be his lifelong work. He retired in 1994. Fred is survived by his children, Brenda (Wayne) Buckley, Bonnie Bremer, Juli VanZandt Schroeder, Beckie (Ted) Shippen, Tammy (Todd) Robins and Meg's children, Karen, Carol, Kristin and Pat. He is also survived by his sister, Dorothy and a multitude of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; cousins, nieces and nephews. Dad was preceded in death by his parents and all of his brothers, Carl, Robert and Gilbert Bremer and his sister, Jenny Britzman. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Wayne Frederick Bremer. We would like to sincerely thank Intermountain Hospice and Homecare for their kind, caring and gentle manner while attending to our Dad. They were with us for 3 short days, but their compassion made all the difference in the world and we appreciate everything they did for our Dad and for us. They made his passing so much more bearable and they allowed our Dad the dignity he deserved. Fred has expressed his wishes to be cremated. Cremation will be under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary of Ogden. Fred also requested that there be no service and would joke that we could do anything with his ashes except *flush* them. We will respect all of his wishes.
