Garthia Lynne Partch

Lynne was born to Garth H. Walton and Marjory Elaine Bell Walton Rose, in Pocatello, Idaho on September 20^th, 1955; the oldest of 5 children. During her childhood the family moved to Ogden, Utah where Lynne would spend the rest of her life.

Lynne is preceded in death by her parents and her oldest son Frank. Survived by her husband William (Fritz) Partch of 30 years, 3 children Chuck, Niki, Brandy, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Grandma was the most loving and arms open woman any of us knew. If you needed something she was there. She was the glue to our family. Grandma loved to go fishing but hated to bait her own hook. She enjoyed scenic drives, counting mile markers and listening to music on the way. You always knew when Springtime hit because Grandma would be outside with her tiny shovel ready to get to work pulling weeds, planting flowers, setting up hummingbird feeders and bird seed. When she wasn’t outside Grandma, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and watching the cooking channel. Every Christmas the house would be filled with the smell of cinnamon sticks and baked goods. She always let us lick the spoon. 

Grandma worked over twenty years as a server where she fell in love with what she did. She waited on so many people and formed countless bonds, friendships, and relationships with her customers. She made it her life’s work to make sure everyone around her was happy and taken care of. 

On February 15^th, 2023, Grandma passed peacefully at home with her loved ones. No words combined could ever describe the kind of woman our grandma was or the impact that she had on so many lives, especially ours. Our hope now is that she may rest happily in peace knowing that we will forever love and remember her for the truly amazing being she had always been.
