Glen Wilford Cox
July 6, 1939 – June 9, 2016
Glen Wilford Cox, 76, of Clinton, Utah passed away in his sleep June 9, 2016 at 3:20 am. He was born on July 6, 1939 in Springville, Utah to Heber Wilford and Leota Beardall Cox; he was the oldest of four children.
He graduated from Springville High School.
He joined the Army National Guard and Graduated from Fort Ord, California.
After serving in the Army he went on to work at Hill Air Force Base as an Electrician.
He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 42 years of proud civil service working as an Integrated Avionics Electronics Technician.
He cherished Trains and loved to go to the Ogden Union Station to attend train shows and to witness the restoration of vintage locomotives. He also loved to collect trading cards and complete sets to give as gifts. His favorite times were those spent with all his family at the Andrew Hunter Scott Reunions.
He was a member of the LDS Church.
Glen is survived by his two sisters, Joyce Fonseca E Silva and Karen Watkins; three daughters, Deborah Thomas, Elizabeth Edlefsen and Robyn Jorgensen; 19 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Glen is preceded in death by his parents, Heber Wilford and Leota Beardall Cox; his sister, Irene Cox; his son, Timothy Glen Cox; and his grandson Joseph Dale Thomas.
A morning viewing will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at Aaron’s Mortuary, 1050 S State Street, Clearfield, Utah followed by a Graveside Service at 11 am at West Point City Cemetery, 80 N 4000 W, West Point City, Utah.
The family wishes to give special thanks to those at Liberty Dialysis for excellent care over the years; to those at Paramount Health and Rehabilitation; and his nurse, Kathleen with Summit Home Health Care and Hospice.
