Glen F. Moore was born in Coalville, Utah to Floyd and June Moore. Glen grew up in Ogden, Utah.
As a young teenager he worked for his dad's construction company. Glen was working on a road job in Beaver, Utah when he met Jayne Cartwright and fell in love. After six weeks he asked Jayne to marry him. They decided to elope and they were married April 29, 1957 in Pioche, Nevada.
Glen loved the outdoors and loved to fish, especially fly fishing. On weekends, he would load his young family in the camper and head for the mountains.
Later in life, he loved to spend summers on their boat in Flaming Gorge, Wyoming. The last few years, him and Jayne spent winters in their motor home in Beaver Dam, Arizona.
Glen retired in 1995 from South Ogden City as the Public Works Director.
He loved and was very proud of his family.
Glen is survived by Jayne, his loving wife of 61 years and three children: daughters, Tallene Huffaker (Joe) of West Point, Utah; Tamra Woodard (Steve) of Las Vegas Nevada; son, Troy Moore of Sullivan, New Hampshire; five grandchildren: Jake Huffaker (Mindy), Stacy Millgate (Steele), Rachael Woodard, Cody Woodard (Sydney) and Trevor Moore (deceased); eleven great–grandchildren and his four-legged best friends, Millie and Jennie. He is also survived by his siblings: Fred Moore (Dianne), Chad Moore (Deloris), Gail Winterbottom (Roger).
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Trevor.
Glen was admired for many reasons, including his constant truthfulness and honesty. He was more than a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was a great man and friend. He always had an exciting story to share about his life with those he loved.
He will be dearly missed.
The family honored Glen's wishes to be cremated and had a private family viewing, February 27, 2019 at Aaron's Mortuary.
The family would like to thank the hospice team for their wonderful care.
