Gloria Jean Bracken On July 3, 2013 in the comfort of Pineview Transitional Rehab with her family present, Gloria Jean (Edman) Bracken, age 79, beloved wife, mother, (best friend), grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully. She was born March 26, 1934 in Salt Lake City to John and May Edman. She spent her time as a house wife and raising her 4 children. Her interests included taking cruises and trips to Hawaii, spending time at her cabin near Strawberry and playing Pinochle with friends. She was married to Melvin Bracken on October 24, 1953 in St John, Utah (now known as Rush Valley). They would have celebrated their 60th Wedding Anniversary this October. She is survived by her husband; 4 children, Randy Bracken, Scott Bracken, Shannon (Curt) West, and Robert (Tammy) Bracken; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Anna Martin (Tooele) and ReNea Edman (So Ogden). She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lorraine Rinaldi Hostutler; brother, John Edman and great-granddaughter, Kolby Glauser. In lieu of flowers donations will be accepted to Make-a-Wish Foundation. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 12:00 at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday evening, July 9, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm and from 11 to 1145 am Wednesday prior to the services.
