Gloria Amuny Luck, 65, of Ogden, Utah, entered into eternal rest on the morning of September 10, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. Her daughter, Rachel Scott, was by her side throughout the past few days to comfort and care for her until the end.
She was born March 24, 1949 in Port Arthur, Texas to H.A. and Connie Amuny; Gloria grew up there and graduated from Bishop Byrne High School in 1967. She worked as an EMT at St Maryâs Hospital in Port Arthur before beginning a new career as a telephone draftsman and engineer. It was during this time she was able to travel extensively and frequently throughout most of the United States. Gloria always welcomed the opportunity to see new places and meet new people; for her, everyday was filled with hope and friends.
Gloria is preceded in death by her parents H.A. and Connie Amuny and her husband Tom Luck.
She leaves behind to mourn her loss and cherish her memory, her brother Mikal Amuny and family of Norman, Oklahoma; daughter Rachel Scott and her husband Ethan of Elko, Nevada; a son Father Eathan Oakes of Beaumont, Texas and a granddaughter, Ashley Patterson and her husband Micah of Lumberton, Texas and 4 great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to Dena Boucher, Ira Jean Michie, Shauna Lynn Carder and their families for their extensive support and care.
According to Gloria's wishes, she will be laid to rest in Nevada next to her husband Tom .
