Greg Christensen "Merg"

July 28, 1954 - August 26, 2017 Our loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; kind and gentle soul, Greg Christian Christensen, 63, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 after battling kidney disease. He was born to Eugene O. Christensen and Erma Jean Manwill, July 28, 1954 in Ogden, raised in Clearfield, and, often found in Sunset. He married Julie Chelemes and they had two children, Jeff and Lexcie. They later divorced. He married Connie Berrett-Hipwell March 5, 2006 and gained 4 step-daughters and their families.

He was the life of the party and a peacemaker. He enjoyed golfing, rooting for his favorite teams and time with family and friends.

Surviving are wife, Connie Christensen, Ogden; son, Jeff (Tiffany) Christensen, Clinton; and daughter, Lexcie (Adam) Potter, Montgomery, Alabama; and 5 grandchildren: Kazden, Cahtaya, and Calista Christensen and Savannah and Arianna Potter; and 10 step-grandchildren.

Also surviving are sister, Lynette (John) Lishman, Santa Barbara, California and brother, Brett (Shelly) Christensen, Ogden, Utah; and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Eugene O. Christensen and Erma Jean Manwill; brother, Randy Christensen; nephews, Brian Christensen and Corey Christensen; and dog, Cole.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1029 26th Street in Ogden.
