Guadalupe G. Escobedo

July 15, 1929 — October 31, 2009

Guadalupe G. Escobedo passed away October 31, 2009 after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at home. She was born July 15, 1929 to Leonardo and Celia Garcia in Montemorelos, Mexico. She married Ramon V. Escobedo on April 15, 1947.

She loved spending time with her family, sewing, cooking, and had a very green thumb. She was an active member of the North Ogden Spanish Congregation of Jehovah's Witness' and her hope was everlasting life on a paradisiacal earth in the near future - Rev. 21:3,4. She also enjoyed sharing that hope with others.

Guadalupe is survived by her sons; Raymond of Las Vegas, NV., Ruben of Clinton, UT. Rolando, Ramon Jr. of Ogden, UT. and Abel of Brigham City, UT. daughters; Martha Rodriguez, Leti Martinez, Josie Quintero and Sarah Castillo of Ogden, UT., Norma Rodriguez of San Jose, CA., Gloria Ochoa of Provo, UT., Lupe Garibay of El Centro, CA., Blanca Windy Boy of Newtown, N.D. She is also survived by forty-four grandchildren, and twenty-nine great-grandchildren, three brothers, and two sisters.

She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children; Yolanda Nunez, Roel Escobedo and one brother.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 496-24th St. Ogden, UT. Graveside services will follow at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. Ogden, UT.

A Memorial service will be held at Kingdom Hall, 333 West 7th St. on Saturday, November 7th at 11:30 a.m.
