Guadalupe Rosario Gutierrez

On May 9, 2013 at 11:28 am our beautiful daughter and sister Guadalupe Rosario Gutierrez (Lupe) passed away surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on July 19, 1987 in Layton, Utah to Ruben and Judy Gutierrez. She attended Fremont High School then later graduated from Two Rivers High School. After graduation she started her career at OWATC as "teacher Lupe" for the Headstart Department. Lupe was loved by many and had the biggest heart towards others. She definitely was one of a kind. Lupe loved all her classroom kids. She loved shopping and enjoyed watching her movies, especially "Drop Dead Fred and Shag." Lupe was a terrific and proud Godmother to Tita, Tonio and Skye. She was preceded in death by her "Apa" (Ignacio), Great-Grandpa Medina and by cousins Alex and Denise. She is survived by her parents and six siblings, Ruben Jr. Rosalinda (Ignacio), Esmeralda (Auggie), Angelica (Jose), Veronica (Anthony) and Maribel (Joseph) Ama (Juanita); grandparents Jimmy and Ester Medina and great-grandma Lillian Medina; many aunts, uncles nieces and nephews; also by the love of her life, Nate Archuleta. A very special thanks to the amazing doctors, nurses and aids at the U of U Hospital who did everything possible for our "Lupe." Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 10 am at St Joseph Catholic Church, 514 24th St, Ogden, Utah. The Viewing will be held on Tuesday evening , May 14, 2013 from 6 pm to 8 pm with Holy Rosary at 7 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Guadalupe's name at any Wells Fargo Bank
