Harlene May Hilburn Lee

December 8, 1961 — November 29, 2024

Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Harlene May Hilburn Lee, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2024. She was born on December 8, 1961, to Harold and Helen Hilburn.

From a young age, Harlene’s love for horses and animals was evident. She spent much of her childhood riding horses, specializing in English style riding, and earned many trophies and ribbons through her competitive spirit. Her passion and love for horses, cats and animals extended throughout her life. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and crocheting.

Harlene graduated from Roy High School and then attended Weber State University. She was employed at Thiokol Corporation, where she was a dedicated and outstanding employee.

She married Tyler Munns, becoming an instant mother to his sons, Brandon and Shane. Together, they welcomed their beloved sons, Steven and Garrett, into this world. Harlene cherished and embraced motherhood with a fierce and boundless love. She was devoted to her family, supporting her sons through every sporting event and in every aspect of their lives. Harlene was a constant presence on the sidelines and in the stands, always ensuring her boys were active and involved. She believed in the power of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice, often going above and beyond for her family.

After her divorce from Tyler, Harlene found love again with Kenny Lee, whom she married in 2002. Kenny remained by her side, loving and supporting her until the very end.

Harlene’s personality radiated kindness and generosity. She was the epitome of hospitality, always opening her home to others and making sure they were comfortable and cared for. Harlene would do anything for anyone in need, never hesitating to offer a helping hand. She had a gift for seeing the good in others, even when they couldn’t see it in themselves.

A woman of great integrity, Harlene believed in treating everyone with respect and dignity. She had little tolerance for dishonesty or disrespect but was the Queen of Second Chances. Her selflessness was evident in every part of her life, whether it was ensuring her boys had the best opportunities in sports, teaching them life lessons, or simply spending time outdoors with them. She was happiest when she was with her family, camping, fishing, or exploring the world around them. Her boys were her greatest pride, and everything they know in life is thanks to her wisdom and sacrifices.

Her strength, beauty, and unwavering love will be remembered by all who knew her. Harlene was a role model to many, but to her sons, she was their constant, heroine and fiercest protector. Her memory will live on in their hearts forever.

Harlene is survived by her loving husband, Kenny Lee; her siblings, Henry Hilburn, and Hal Hilburn (Sue); her sons: Steven Kyle Munns, Garrett Zane Munns, Brandon Tyler Munns (Sheila), and Shane Michael Munns (Lisa); her grandchildren; and many other family members and friends who were fortunate enough to know her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents, Harold and Mildred Hilburn, and William and Helen Landry.

Words cannot express how deeply Harlene will be missed. She was the light for her family, and her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to shine brightly in all their lives.

A celebration of her life will be held in 2025. We will post details on social media for those who would like to attend and share all the good memories Harlene left behind.

We will miss you, Mom, with every breath we take until we see you in the next life and hope we will continue to make you proud. You will forever be in our hearts.
