Helen June Bate

October 23, 1926 — October 6, 2008

OGDEN- On October 6, 2008, our mother and grandmother, June Bate, passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family. She was born on October 23, 1926 in Montpelier, Idaho, a daughter of Josephine Larsen and Ernest Dalrymple. She moved to Ogden at the age of fourteen. She attended Ogden schools where she excelled in her studies. She worked at the Arsenal during World War II, JC Penneys and retired from Key Bank.

She married LaVerrell William Bate on July 12, 1946 in the Logan Temple. June and her husband enjoyed dancing and spent many years as Stake Dance Instructors. She enjoyed traveling with her husband in their motor home, spending time in the desert with her sister and friends. Her life was centered around family. Her greatest joy was to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving and caring person to all she met.

She is survived by her children Bill (Betty) Bate, Denise Bate, five grandchildren and their spouses, nine great grandchildren, sister Gay (Rob) Alexander and brother Larry Dalrymple.

She was preceded in death by her husband, mother and father, one granddaughter, Kerry Ann Bate, and one great granddaughter, Julie Ann Halbert.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the 7th Ward Building located at 720 Nancy Dr. in South Ogden. A viewing will be held Friday prior to the services from 12:00 pm to 1:45 pm.

Interment will be at Washington Heights Memorial Park.

Arrangements under the direction of Aaron's Mortuary & Crematory, 1600 Washington Blvd.
