Henry F. Grieco of Loyalsock Township died peacefully at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, February 24, 2021.
Henry was born in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania to Carmine and Gertrude (O’Brien) Grieco, February 7, 1937. He was a member of the Church of Annunciation, having served as an altar boy in his youth.
Henry graduated from St. Joseph’s High School, and Duquesne University, later applying his education to serving the greater Williamsport area as a pharmacist until retirement. As well, he served in the US Army Reserve.
Henry loved using baseball to teach life lessons. He was a fixture throughout the 1980s on baseball diamonds throughout Loyalsock Township. He truly cherished the memories and relationships he cultivated as a coach. More recently, he loved spending time in Utah and Colorado with his sons and grandchildren, and visiting with friends and family throughout Pennsylvania.
Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Carmine and Gertrude, and his wife Marilyn Grieco. Henry is survived by Brothers: Carmine Grieco of Hughesville PA, Lawrence Grieco (Teresa) of Muncy PA, Thomas Grieco (Elizabeth) of Millerton PA, Brien Grieco (Marguerite) of Elmira NY. Henry was formerly married to surviving Margaretta (Schaefer) Kull and together have Sons: Colonel-retired Michael Grieco, USAF (Nery) of Monument CO and Patrick Grieco (Stacie) of Hooper UT. Grandchildren: Stephanie Grieco, Hannah Grieco, Hailie Grieco.
There is no service scheduled at this time due to COVID-19 concerns.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Henry’s name to charity of choice.
