Howard Alfred Spencer
Howard was born May 5, 1935 to Alfred John (Jack) Spencer and Norma L. Carlos Spencer Parker. Howard was born and raised in Farmington, Utah. He graduated from Davis High School in 1953. After high school Howard joined the United States Navy. Howard married LaRae Young on September 30, 1958. While married, Howard and LaRae spent many years overseas in Japan, Hawaii, and Alaska. The place that Howard was most fond of was Wahiawa, Hawaii; he had many great stories to tell from his time stationed there. Howard retired from the Navy after over 20 years of service. After the Navy, Howard went to college and earned a degree in teaching. He taught Industrial Arts for 21 years in Utica, KS and Wendover, UT.
Howard was the proud father to four children, and two step children. Sherry and Jim Robinson, Slayton, MN; Tamra and Greg Frank, Smith Center, KS; Jason and Aimee Spencer, Clinton, UT; Rhonda and Rick Clark, Herriman, UT; LaMar and Launa Larsen, Fruitland, UT; Glenna Lorentz, Shakopee, MN. Howard had nineteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Howard is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Norman and Gary; and a sister, Sherma.
