Our wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Ingrid Sather Bergstrom, 73, passed away
Tuesday, February 22, 2022 in Layton, UT from Covid-19.
She was born October 26, 1948 in Bellingham, Washington, the middle child of Thomas and
Maria Calia Sather. She attended Sedro-Woolley High School where she became friends with
Ron Bergstrom who would become her eternal companion. She attended Brigham Young
University studying art education. Ron later joined her at BYU. They were sealed in the Salt
Lake City temple on June 3, 1970. After their marriage, she worked as an illustrator for the
Church Educational System. As they lived in Mossyrock, WA and then Sedro Woolley, WA, they
raised 3 children.
After joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in her teens, she devoted the rest of
her life to serving the Lord and her family. She held many callings and made many friends.
She used her artistic talent to make many, many posters and road show sets, as well as family
gifts. She was an excellent seamstress, making regular clothes and even wedding dresses.
She loved to feed people, especially her family, and was known to be a wonderful cook. She
and her sister Karen cared for their mother in her home for seven years. She and Ron moved to
Layton, Utah in 2016 to be nearer to children and her siblings.
She is survived by her loving husband Ron, her children Tonya (Mike) Adams, Traci (Daniel)
Brown, and Ty (Lauren) Bergstrom, 8 grandchildren, her brother Nels (Heather) Sather and her
sister Karen (Dean) Bingham, and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter Day Saints building at 725 S 200 E in Layton. The funeral service will be broadcast

Interment will follow at a later date at Union Cemetery in Sedro Woolley, WA.
