Jack Lewis Downs

Jack Lewis Downs,beloved father grandfather and uncle,passed away Wednesday October 1,2008 in Bountiful,Utah at the age of 85. He was born in Ogden, Utah on October 8,1922 to Daniel C. and Ruby Downs.

He attended schools in the Ogden area. He served his country in the U.S.Navy for two years and was part of the liberation force of the Philippines. After returning from WWII he was employed by Utah General Depot.

Later in his life he was part owner of Credit Counselors in Utah and Denver,Colorado.

He worked with his brother Keith Downs at the White Barn and Nordic Valley golf courses in his later years. Jack was an avid golfer and held several low scores at various golf courses in the area

Jack is survived by his two sons; Greg(Debbie)Downs and Jeff (Julia)Downs,one daughter; Jackie Keene, also survived by ten grand children and eight great grandchildren. Jack stayed close to all his nieces and nephews through the years.

Preceded in death by his parents, four brothers;Zene, Kenneth, Dan, Keith and one sister Barbara Kwall.

A graveside service will be held on Monday Oct.6, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. - Huntsville City Cemetery,100 S.6600 E. Huntsville,Utah.
