Jake Peter Wilhelmi was born in Mt. Carmel, ND, to Jacob and Marion (Mack) Wilhelmi. He was the 10th of 11 children and grew up on the farm, learning to work hard at an early age. Jake served in the Air Force and after his Honorable Discharge married Joan Neidlinger. They lived most of their 44 years of married life in CA.
 
Jake had 4 children: Nancy Andrade (1949-1982), Jerry Wilhelmi (Alison), Sandy George (Joe), and Kimberly Wilhelmi. He had 8 grandchildren: Stacey King (Rob), Tom Andrade (Stephanie), Jimmy Wilhelmi, Jason Wilhelmi (Faith), Anne Wilhelmi, Sydney George, Katie George, and Joey George. He also had 7 great-grandchildren: Paul King, Amanda Matheson (Barclay), Shea King, Olivia King, Stephen Andrade, Ryane Andrade, and Jake Andrade.

Jake sold insurance for 21 years and then began J. Wilhelmi Tractor Service with his son Jerry. He enjoyed tractors for many decades until he moved to UT, where he spent the last 4 years of his life.

Jake loved his children and grandchildren. He delighted in sharing stories with them of growing up during the depression and living on the farm. He will be greatly missed! Goodbye Dad/Grandpa. We Love You!

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 9th at 3:00 PM at the Ogden Area Christian Church, 2304 Polk Ave., Ogden, UT 84401.
