James Brown

James (Jim) Brown of Harrisville, Utah passed peacefully of complications due to dementia on Thursday, July 29, 2021, at McKay Hospital.

Jim was born August 26, 1946, in Ogden, Utah to Lester and Ella Casper Brown.

Jim married Karen Chidester on August 18, 1967, in Willard, Utah. They were blessed with one son, Brian whom they truly adored. He was the light of their life and could do no wrong in their eyes.

Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in the Uinta Mountains until his health declined. The mountains were his home away from home.

He is survived by his wife, Karen, son Brian (RaeAnn) Brown. Grandson Colby (Miranda) Brown, Granddaughter, Brandie Nelson and five great grandchildren, Jexxen (7), Owen (5), Jayde (3), Aria and Malia (1). He is also survived by one sister, Helen Jensen and one brother, Blaine Brown.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother Harold (Linda) Brown and 1 sister Diann Becker.

Per Jim’s wishes, he will be cremated and not “put in the ground”.
