James Arthur Herron

October 3, 1944 — November 5, 2014

James (Jim) Arthur Herron, born October 3, 1944, died peacefully in his home on November 5, 2014, after a brief illness.  

Jim was born in Pittsburgh.  He was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan.  Jim lived to enjoy life with his beloved wife Sue Taylor and all those whose path he crossed.

Jim devoted 35 years of public service between the U S Navy, and U S Air Force civilian service.  The majority of his career was spent at McClellan AFB in California, with tours in Turkey and the United Kingdom.  The last 15 years of his life was spent in the beautiful state of Utah.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Mike, Bill, and Patrick. He is leaving behind his loving wife Sue, his brother Dan Herron, sister Cathy Dickinson, his sons Tod, James (Suzy) and Chris Herron and his grandchildren, Ashleigh Koski, Katie Musillani and Caplan Bourgeois.

Those who knew Jim will remember his quick wit and generous help to those who were in need.  He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

No services will be held.  However, there will be a wake held on Sunday the 16th day of November, 2014, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at The Sandtrap, located at 2851 Washington Blvd., Ogden Utah.
