James (Jim) W. Ryden returned to his heavenly Father on October 6, 2022.
Jim was born to Marie and Ken Tutz in Ogden Utah on Nov 26 1945. He was raised by his step-father Warren Ryden who he dearly loved and respected.
He was a lifelong resident of Ogden. Jim had an unwavering faith in God.
Jim joins his mother Marie in heaven who he has sorely missed since her passing several years ago. Also preceded him in death was his father, grandparents, a niece and nephew and two cousins.
Jim is survived by his sisters Susan, Joanne and Valerie, Aunt Marlene Simone Fowers, Uncle Eddie Simone and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and his special friend Carolyn.
Jim was loved by so many. His positive outlook, generous spirit, and kind heart left an impression wherever he went. He never met a stranger that didn’t quickly become his friend. He always went out of his way to help anyone in need even though he had limited resources.
After High School he joined the Army and spent his duty time in Germany. He loved his country and also traveling. He attended Weber State College and also took an active roll in local politics. We will miss his wisecracks and jokes.
The family would like to thank the Terrace at Ogden for their love and compassionate care of Jim. Also Symbii from Hospice.
Rest in peace “Bubba” we love you. Friends and family are invited to the services.
