James Leonard Jones

RIVERDALE- James Leonard Jones passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on June 29th 2012 after a valiant battle with melanoma skin cancer. Leonard was born July 8th, 1929 in Magdalena, NM to James Henry and Nolie Elsie Jones. Leonard loved fishing, hunting, nature and feeding birds. He took great pride in his home, yard and enjoyed making wooden gifts for family and friends. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and he served his country in the Naval Reserves from 1947 to 1954. Leonard is survived by his son Gary Jones of Fountainhills, AZ , and daughter JeriLynn Cranch of Safford, AZ, his wife of 37 years Ruth Ann (Goddard) Jones and their children Holly Snitchler of Riverdale, UT, Peggy Conyer of Morenci, AZ and Amy Pooler of Thatcher, AZ, nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
