James Paul Pickett
July 23, 1931 - October 17, 2014
Jim Pickett, age 83, died Friday, October 17th, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born July 23, 1931 to Earl and Ethel Pickett, in Spickard, MO.
Jim married Pat Bartlett in 1950. They later divorced. Together, they had four children; Sandra (J. Ron) Stacey, Mike (Lanette) Pickett, Karri Lynn (John) Kearney, and Robert (Rebecca) Pickett. He also has 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
He Served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was proud to be one of the first drivers for CR England Trucking Co.
Jim Loved working with his hands, using tools and getting dirty.
He is survived by his sisters, Onabelle (Charles) Buchanan, Pat (Fritz) Stanger, Marilyn (Lyn) Mayfield; his children and grandchildren; his ex-wife, Pat Keller, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
He had many friends in Challis, Idaho, whom he loved very much. A special thanks to all of his good friends, including Dave Ellis, Deidra Millard (Davis), Jane Bloxham, Verna Lawler and Aurelia Ringel.
Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, 100 Monroe Blvd. Ogden, UT 84404, on Saturday, October 25th at 2:00 pm.
