James “Jim” William Spencer, the son of Richard Clyde and Mary Spencer, died on December 3rd at his home in Roy, Utah. A longtime resident of Roy, he grew up with an older brother, Jack, and a younger sister, Marilyn. Jim proudly served in the Korean War and later became a sheet metal worker at Hill Air Force Base where he retired. He married Marilyn M. Moss and together they raised two boys, David J. and Mark.
Those that knew Jim best knew his passion for hunting and fishing. He had a true talent for building beautiful guns by hand and he took pride in his craft.
After his wife Marilyn died in 2001, Jim married Betty Hansen, and split his time between her Wyoming home and his Roy home.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Mary, and his wife, Marilyn. James is survived by his wife, Betty; his brother Jack, his sister Marilyn (Ward) Barnett; his sons David (Tina), and Mark (Dani); his grandchildren Paul (Mandy), and Natalie; and his great grandchild Ethan James.
