Jane Frith, of Layton, Utah, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 5, 2012. She was born on December 12, 1936 in Keiser, Arkansas, the fifth daughter of Otis and Iantha Rustin Wooldridge. She grew up working in the cotton fields of her family farm and attended school in Gosnell, Arkansas.
She married George Thomas Blaylock, Jr. on December 31, 1953, in Blytheville, Arkansas. They had two daughters, Cathey, born in Fort Riley, Kansas, and Barbara, born in Chicago, Illinois. They later divorced. Jane married Robert W. Frith in Chicago on February 25, 1974. Bob's military career took them to Grand Forks, North Dakota; Tuscon, Arizona; and Layton, Utah, where they settled when he retired from the Air Force in 1983.
Jane was a delightful woman, vivacious and full of fun. Her generosity, sense of humor and storytelling skills won her many close friendships. She was a much-loved "favorite aunt" to many. She loved children and was a devoted mother, teaching her children to read before they entered Kindergarten. Her grandchildren adored her and she spoiled them thoroughly. She enjoyed entertaining and was a wonderful cook. She also loved decorating and caring for her home.
She and Bob enjoyed extensive cross country car trips, camping, and rodeos. They also traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and Mexico. She was in bowling leagues and was a past president of the Hill AFB NCO Wives Club. She worked for many years for NAF, MWR, and AAFES, and she so enjoyed the interactions with the airmen and their families. She was a member of the Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of Layton, daughter Cathey Coulter and son-in-law Philip Coulter, also of Layton; daughter Barbara Fennell, and son-in-law William Fennell of San Diego, California; grand-children Nicole Lindley, Amber Lindley, Christa Garner, Patrick Fennell and Dana Fennell; great-grand-daughter Quincy Lindley. She is also survived by siblings Joy Riggs of Jackson, Mississippi; Bob Wooldridge and Gary Don Wooldridge of Midwest City, Oklahoma; Herschel Wooldridge, Sterling Leroy Wooldridge, Carol Gilliam, and Becky Simmons, all of Blytheville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by both parents, and siblings Betty Daugherty, Ruth Ashabranner, Linda Lawson, Melba Akers, and Lamonia Wooldridge.
The family would like to thank the staff of Chancellor Gardens, especially all the CNA's for their care of Jane during the past year. Appreciation and thanks also to Alpine Hospice, Ren, Karen, Miller and Dr. Lewis.
