Janet Sarah Dodgen

Our mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Janet Dodgen, left us on Christmas Day, December 25th, 2024, at 10:15 p.m. with many loved ones by her side. She got to tell most of her loved ones goodbye and that she loved them. 

She was an amazing mother, grandmother, and friend. She was loved by so many. No matter what happened in our lives and the crap we put her through at times, her love was always unconditional. She was not only our mom, but she was the go-to neighborhood mom as she was a stay-at-home mom, and our friend’s moms all worked. She was married to our dad, Homer Robert Dodgen in Ogden, Utah for 36 years before they divorced, and she never remarried. She was the last of 9 kids to pass. 

She is survived by her son, Robert J Dodgen; daughter, Candace Baird; son in-law, Kenny Slot; grandkids: Heather Burton (Jack Burton), Amber Thornock (Cody Thornock), Jeromy Slot (Melanie Slot), Brady Slot, Kasey Dodgen, Cody Dodgen, Curtis Crosby, Tyler Gibson, Taryn Gibson, Jordan Baird; and 10 great grandchildren. Her daughter, Chris, passed away almost a year before on the 28th of December.

There will be no services at her request.
