Janet Harrop Wahlen

Our mom passed away April 6, 2019.  With her memory fully  restored, she returned home to be with her family and loved ones.

Janet was born June 11, 1935 to Samuel H. Harrop and Varnette Garner Patterson.  She grew up In Ogden, never being short of friendships throughout her school years.  Janet  married Edward "Ted" Jude and had two children, JoDean and Terry.  After her husband passed away, she married William Wahlen, having two more children, Stacie and Bill.

Janet enjoyed sewing, making crafts and loved  making a warm and welcoming home for her family and friends.  When she was in her 50's, she decided to certify as a nursing aid (CNA) so she could assist the elderly with their personal care enabling them remain at home.  She loved doing this most of all.

Janet is survived by her sister, Jerry (Dale) Hammon, who was always there in time of need or just to have fun and lots of laughs.  She adored her brother-in-law, Dale, and enjoyed his company.  He  could always make her smile.  She is also  survived by her niece Kristy Hammon (Blake Stratton), nephew Scott (Nic) Hammon,  and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren:  Jodi (David) Bobillot, Terry (Sandi) Jude, Stacie (Mike) Stevenson  and Bill Wahlen sincerely thank Hidden Valley Assisted Living and Memory  Care.  Everyone took care of mom like she was family.  We would especially like to thank her granddaughter, Nicki  (Jake) Michalak, for always going that extra mile to take care of her grandma, who she loved very much.
