Janetta Huntington age 59, died peacefully in her sleep on July 4, 2018 at Pioneer Care Center. She was born to Boyd Huntington and Ella Janet Taylor Johnston. She is survived by her three daughters, Sandy Kay Grose (David) Jones, Elsha Lee Wilson (James) Kesler and Brittany Marie Wilson, four Granddaughters and three Grandsons, and a brother, John Johnston. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and step-father, Johnny Willard Johnston and sister Jill Huntington.
Janetta worked for the IRS for 15 years ending her career as a supervisor. She loved to write, color, swim, and bowling in various bowling leagues throughout her life. She also enjoyed crocheting and created beautiful things.
Jannetta’s life was often difficult. She had her first child at age 15 and had to take on an adult role at an early age. She graduated from Roy High School and went on to Steven Henager College for a short time until she started her career at the IRS. She married Richard D. Wilson and had two more daughters. They divorced 9 years later.
Janetta developed health issues over the last few years of her life and she endured a lot of pain. She valiantly fought to live, but the damage that had been done was too severe. We’d like to thank Bristol Hospice for their kindness and compassion for the last week of her life, and to Pioneer Care Center for taking the time to know Janetta and come to love and care for her.
A celebration of her life will be held at The Genesis Project, 3525 Riverdale Road, on Wednesday, July 11, at 1:00 pm.
We miss you Momma. We are blessed to know you are no longer suffering. You are in the comforting arms of our loving Redeemer. We love you so very much, and know you will be carried in our hearts until we meet again.
