JANICE RUDD GIFT
December 10, 1940 - May 24, 2015
Janice Gift passed away May 24, 2015 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center in Salt Lake City. She was born to Anne and Calvin Rudd on December 10, 1940 in Elko Nevada.
Janice was perhaps the finest person who ever lived on this planet. She was brave, innovative, talented and caring. Her accomplishments were many including being the first woman carpenter to graduate from what was then the trade technical college. She was a feminist throughout her life and worked to create absolute equality for women.
She believed in "fairness" above all else and expected the same from other people in her life. The planet is much better off because she was here. May her wonderful spirit travel throughout the galaxy and touch the souls of many. She wished to be cremated and her ashes scatted at the Grand Canyon.
Janice is survived by one son, Brett Gift and two sisters-in-law, Dexter Cramer and Nan Smith and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother and her husband Mack. A celebration in her honor will be held on June 14, 2015 at the Rocky Mountain Care Center, 835 E Vine St in Salt Lake City at 2:00 PM.
We wish to thank the Rocky Mountain Care Center for their tender care of Janice and Aaron's Mortuary for their services.
