Jeanette Jackman Kubricky

Ogden,Utah. Jeanette Jackman Kubricky - Born in Ontario, Oregon October 31, 1955 the third of seven children to Elden and LaDawn (Tolman) Jackman, passed on August 31, 2012. She is survived by 6 children: Amy and her husband Jonathan Hanks, Benjamin, Natasha and her husband JD McBride, Alexander and his wife Ailene (Bryant), Connor, and Nina; grandsons: Malcolm, Seth, Calvin, Arkose, and one on the way; her husband, parents, three brothers, three sisters and their families; many devoted friends, neighbors and extended family.

Elementary school years were in Idaho before her family moved to North Dakota. She graduated from Fargo South High School, then attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she met Mark Kubricky in 1974. In 1977, she fulfilled a lifelong dream of an 18-month volunteer mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Sydney, Australia Mission. On returning, she and Mark were married in the Washington DC LDS temple January 12, 1979. They made their home in several beautiful communities in upstate New York raising their six children, then moved to Ogden Utah, near relatives, seven years ago.

Jeanette's leadership service included work in public schools, children's primary president, girls camp director, charities, and teaching life skills. She loved decor and design, especially home arts. Her pie baking won awards. She took pleasure in camping and the overwhelming beauty in Nature. Interests included oil painting, travel, music and the performing arts, especially attending opera in New York and Vienna. She shared music talents throughout her life and was devoted to Christian service.

In 2008, she was diagnosed with Melanoma skin cancer and participated in seven clinical trial studies. Throughout illness she remained committed to serving and helping others.

A remembrance service will be held Friday, Sept. 7, at 11 am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Waterfall Canyon Chapel at 3254 Polk Ave, Ogden. Viewing hours are Thursday 6-8 pm and Friday morning 9:30 a€" 10:30 am at the Chapel.
