Jed Torman, age 65, passed away on April 1, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 19, 1956, in Ogden, Utah to Joseph Torman and Merla Torman (Swenson).
Jed graduated from Bonneville High School in Ogden, Utah. He worked for many years for Bob Shaw Construction and was a skilled concrete finisher. He enjoyed skiing, hunting, and camping and loved spending time outdoors. Fishing with friends and spending time with his grandchildren were his favorite things.
Jed had a passion for creating art and had a heart full of love. He treated others with kindness and compassion. Even though his last few years were tough, he seldom complained and held on to his sense of humor until the very end. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed by his friends and family.
Jed is survived by his children Jeremy Torman, Amie Dalton (Eric), Lacie Birch and his grandchildren: Aiden, Macie, and Elliot. Also surviving is his mother Merla Swenson, two brothers and one sister, Curt Torman (Patti) (Dewey-Humboldt, Arizona); Hal Torman (Janet) (Uintah); Lynette Ruppel (Rick) (Monmouth, Oregon). He was preceded in death by his father Joseph, his sister Joleen, his nephew Tony, and his son Travis.
A special thanks to the staff and his friends at Stoney Brook Assisted Living who assisted Jed and made him feel right at home. The family thanks Utah Hematology Oncology, Mountain View Health Services and Valeo Hospice for their care of Jed.
A viewing will be held at Aaron's Mortuary at 496 24th St., Ogden, Ut 84401 from 1 to 2 PM prior to the services. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday April 6, 2022, at 2:30 PM at Lindquist Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 South Washington Blvd.
