Jeffrey Allen Bancroft

CLINTON-Jeffrey Allen Bancroft, 46, passed from this life on Friday, October 24, 2008. He was born August 18, 1962 to Gary Wayne Bancroft and Cynthia Jensen at Vandenburg AFB in California.

He graduated from Ogden High School in 1980. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty J. Garrelts (Leipold) on August 7, 1982. Together they became proud parents of three sons. Though divorced in 1995, he remained a devoted partner in raising his sons.

On March 20, 2003 he married the love of his life, Melissa Johnson, together they welcomed two beautiful daughters and another son to our family.

He was a life long machinist, taking great pride in the precision of his work. He was also a brilliant handyman and mechanic. He did anything and everything he could to help everyone he knew. There was nothing he was not able to repair, and he took care to pass this knowledge and skill to his sons.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding ATV's, watching football and fixing things until they were broken; but mostly, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Surviving are his four sons, US Army SGT. Bancroft, Allan W. (Sharonne), Justin Lee (Yanet), Kurtis Ray, and Braden Mark; young daughters Hannah Rhiannon and Emma Eileen, his mother Cynthia, brother David, sisters; Robin Rae (Jeff), Crystene and Lori. Also survived by Uncle Norris R., Aunt Vicki and his mother Cynthia. He was a loving grandfather of four; Robert Jeffrey (RJ), Aaron, Kora and Angellee.

He will be missed by his many cousins which include Blake, Raina, Jacob and Heidi, many nieces and nephews and countless friends. Special thanks to Tim Coons, Ray Christiansen and their families.

Jeff was preceded in death by his beloved father (Gary) in February of 2007, and our one consolation is knowing they are reunited once more in the beauty of what lies beyond.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Larkin's Mortuary, 24th and Adams.
