Jeffrey Bond passed away on February 17th in the early morning. Jeff was surrounded by his loving family after a short but fierce battle with esophageal cancer.
Jeff was baptized into, and an active member of, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served as a faithful, willing, and devoted follower of Christ throughout his life.
Jeff spent many years finding joy in jogging, tinkering with electronics, and reading science-fiction novels. In his later years he found immense pleasure in gardening and tending to his chickens – more affectionately known as “his girls.” Jeff was a loving father that is remembered for playing catch in the yard, taking the kids on hikes to waterfalls and caves, playing lots of Scrabble and Sorry with his daughter, and working incredibly hard in all his home duties. He was an exceptional example of hard work and patience.
Jeff was the last surviving son following the deaths of his parents and his two brothers, Michael and Robert. Remaining to cherish Jeff’s memory are his wife, Carmen; children: Christopher, Leah and (Kai), Jacob and (Taylor); and grandchildren: Nadia, Marek, Elias, Jacob, and Hyrum.
Memorial services will be held at the LDS chapel at 900 W Pleasant View Dr in Pleasant View, UT on Saturday, March 8th. Reception for friends and family begins at 10:00-10:45am with memorial services beginning at 11:00am. Jeff will be laid to rest from this world at the Ben Lomond Cemetery.
