Jenaro D Romero

December 11, 1952 — May 4, 2015

Jenaro D. Romero, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend; passed away at his home on May 4, 2015. He was born on December 11, 1952 in Denver, Colorado to Jenaro and Mary Romero; he later moved to Ogden, Utah.
Jenaro married Jenny Gurule, they had one daughter, Vallerie.  They later divorced.  Jenaro married Tamara Shafer; their children are Chanel and Jenaro .  He also has a daughter, Shanda Romero.
In 2011, Jenaro suffered a heart attack which forced him to retire from Little K Construction after nine years of employment.  Jenaro enjoyed his work at Little K and was sad to leave; he often said, he was the “CEO of the company.”  
He cherished time spent with family and adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Jenaro had many pastimes, but a favorite was going to yard-sales and swap meets, he’d say, “if I have to pass up a yard sale and can’t stop, I get the shakes.”  Jenaro will be greatly missed by his family.  
Jenaro was preceded in death by his parents and Siblings:  Sisters, Irene, Bernie, Mary; brothers, Tony and Bernie.
He is survived by his children, Vallerie (Juan) Florez, Chanel (Will) Vasquez, Jenaro (Erica) Romero and Shanda (Floyd Jr. Pineada) and 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and  2 brothers and 2 sisters; and numerous nieces and nephews that he loved very much.
A Viewing will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 from 6-8 pm with a Memorial Service and Holy Rosary at 7 pm at Aaron’s Mortuary, 496 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.  Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 10 am at  St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 514 24th Street, Ogden, Utah.  Interment at Ogden City Cemetery.
