Jennifer Warnick Rives

August 28, 1979 — April 8, 2025

Jennifer Warnick Rives, our beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, returned home to her Heavenly Father on April 8, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She faced her illness with unwavering faith, strength, and grace, always placing her love for others above herself.

Born on August 28, 1979, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jennifer was a light to all who knew her. She was a devoted and loving mother to Olivia and Austin Rives, who were the greatest joys of her life.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Jill Warnick; her cherished siblings: Kathlene [Travis] Skabelund, Kelli [Thomas] Francis, Aaron [Carrie] Warnick, Rebecca [Karter] Nelson, and Michele Hinton; and many nieces and nephews.

Though we grieve her passing, we take comfort in the knowledge that families are forever, and that this separation is only temporary.

Jennifer had a deep appreciation for nature and found peace in tending to her beautiful plants. She had a special way of bringing life and warmth into every space she touched. Her two beloved dogs, Maggie and Mimi, were her constant companions, always by her side.

A hard worker with an unwavering commitment to her family, Jennifer dedicated herself to providing for her loved ones. She spent years working alongside her brothers, Travis and Aaron, at Custom Home Furnishings in Oregon and later built lasting friendships at United States Cold Storage in Syracuse, Utah, where she was respected and loved. Her work ethic, kindness, and selfless spirit left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Jennifer’s greatest gift was her pure and unconditional love for others. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and cherished. Her laughter was infectious, her hugs were healing, and her heart was always open. She embodied the Savior’s love in the way she cared for and uplifted those around her.

Though our hearts ache in her absence, we find peace in knowing that this is not the end. Through the promise of eternity, we know that Jennifer is reunited with loved ones who have gone before and that we will one day embrace her again.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, April 14, at the Farr West 9th Ward Chapel located at 2565 W. 3300 N., Farr West, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the chapel, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m., where we will gather to honor and remember the beautiful soul that she was.

Jennifer, we love you beyond measure. Until we meet again…

We extend our deepest gratitude to the compassionate caregivers at Huntsman Cancer Institute for their unwavering support during her illness. We also sincerely appreciate the kindness and support shown by her employer and coworkers at United States Cold Storage in Syracuse, Utah, during this difficult time. Additionally, we are profoundly thankful to everyone who contributed to organizing and supporting her final, unforgettable journey with her children. Your collective efforts provided cherished moments that will be treasured forever.
