Jeremiah Arthur Pluim

d. April 11, 2016

Jeremiah Arthur Pluim returned home to his Heavenly Father on April 7, 2016. He was born October 8, 1989 to Arthur and Linda Pluim in Ogden, Utah. He grew up in Clinton and Plain City and graduated from Fremont High in 2008. After high school he served an LDS mission to the Mexico Merida Mission. He then attended Weber State University for a few semesters before transferring to Utah State University to pursue a degree in Computer Science, where he excelled in his studies.

He joined the Army National Guard in 2015, went to Basic training, and graduated from his Army Aviation Logistics training at the top of his class. Since then he has been stationed at West Jordan as a helicopter mechanic and often talked about eventually becoming a helicopter pilot.

He enjoyed camping, rappelling, riding jet skis, video games, computers, anime, movies (especially ones with robots punching each other), lime rickey sherbet, Swedish Fish, and helping his dad with construction projects. He had a love of math, a passion for learning, and was more intelligent than any of us understood. More than anything he loved his family, his Savior, and his Heavenly Father.

We will miss his amazing sense of humor, his quick wit, his gentle and helpful nature, and his easy-going and sweet personality. He was our best friend, our beloved brother, and obedient son.

He is preceded in death by his Oma and Opa Pluim, his Grandpa Muir, and his Uncle Wim. He is survived by his parents and siblings: Heather, Jessica (Steve) Johnson, Christina, and Nathanial.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11 am at the LDS Church located at 2952 N 4200 W, Plain City, Utah 84404.  Viewings will be held at the church Thursday evening, April 14, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to services.  Interment at the Plain City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial account has been set up at America First Credit Union in Jeremiah’s name.
