Joe Edward Maddox

Joe Edward Maddox was born September 12, 1951 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to the late Minister Arthur and Sadie M. Maddox, Sr. He was the eighth child of nine children. He attended public school in Chattanooga and the Thankful Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Minister Arthur and Sadie Maddox, three sisters: Ruby Christine McMath, Elizabeth Russell, and Elder Leola Lewis.

Joe leaves to celebrate, cherish and remember his life a wife: Jeanette Maddox; six children: Marie Maddox, Taj Maddox, Noramarie Miranda, Christina (Toree) Hitsbrunner, Mickayla Maddox, Xavier Miranda; two sisters: Shirley Maddox of Brooklyn, New York, and Betty Fleming of Chicago, Illinois; three brothers: Arthur (Nancy) Maddox, Jr. of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Bishop Charles W. (Mary) Maddox, PhD, of Mobile, Alabama, and Pastor Larry G. (Mary) Maddox of Springfield, Missouri. Joe also leaves behind three grandchildren Avan, Aaliyah, and Jesse; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held Wednesday evening, February 15, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at Aaron's Mortuary, 496 24th St, Ogden, Utah.
