John Basil Bradley, 82, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 of natural causes. He was born on August 29, 1929 to Milton A. and Lillian Bradley in Washington D.C. and spent a lot of his childhood growing up in Annapolis, Maryland.
He traveled a lot in his youth and in 1964 eventually ended up in Michigan. He met and married his wife, Noella K. Westfield, on July 30, 1964, who he spent the last 48 years of his life with. John enjoyed many things throughout his life, but his first love was his family. While living in Michigan they were also blessed with their three children. In 1969, the family moved to Ogden, Utah where he attended WSU and became on electrician. He retired from HAFB where he worked as an electrician on the F4's and F16's.
John was blessed with many opportunities and experiences in his life. This made him an excellent story teller. He also had an excellent sense of humor which he shared through all his many jokes-everywhere he went.
He served his country for 10 years and was a veteran of the Korean War.
Other than his family, his love was photography, this love afforded him many opportunities for travel.
John was a strong family center and a fighter with a passion for life, and was a 10 year cancer survivor. His hobbies included his many trains, which after his retirement, he could be found tinkering away with them at anytime of the day.
John spent many days of his life swimming, camping, and fishing-where we will all remember his happy face in the great outdoors!
John is survived by his wife, Noella K. Bradley, two daughters, Janda (Paul) Flaig; Jennifer Bradley (Karen Kessler); and son John M. Bradley, six grandchildren, Krystin (Alex) Amaya, Kaylynn (Chris) Johnson, Karlee Savannah Flaig, Whitney Bradley, Brandon Bradley, and Dixon Bradley, and two great-grandchildren, Camryn and Layla Amaya. He is also survived by one brother Carson (Maggie) Bradley and one sister Rosalee (John) Gaskill.
He is preceded in death by his father, Milton A. Bradley and his mother Lillian George and stepfather Carroll George.
