John Ernest Van Horn

John Ernest Van Horn of Ogden passed away at his home on October 2, 2013. John was born in Moab, Utah on April 20, 1976. He graduated from Weber Basin Job Corp in 1998. He married Michelle Owens on June 23, 2000 and has lived in Ogden since. John was a beloved husband, father, son and brother. He will be missed by all. John is survived by his wife, Michelle; son, John and daughter, Paige; his parents, Dan and Dorothy Langstaff; sister, Sona Van Horn (brother-in-law) Paul Breed of Grand Junction, CO; sister, Rose Castro of Montrose, CO; nephews, Kyle and Colby; three step-brothers, Nate, Eric and Vincent. Also surviving are his grandparents, Neil and Mary Black of Montrose, CO; father-in-law, Mike Owens; mother-in-law, Ruth Ann Avis ; and brother-in-law, Mike Owens, Jr., all of Ogden, Utah. John is preceded in death by his father, John Errol Van Horn; grandparents, Ernest and Eva Van Horn and grandfather, Don Beal. Services are pending.
