John L. Ritcheson
John L. Ritcheson has passed away peacefully at the age of 91 in the comfort of his home with his family . John was born in Knowles, Oklahoma on July 19, 1931, to Esther Mable Marie Ballard and Kermit Dixon.
John fell in love and married his lifelong best friend and sweetheart Iola (Ann) Baylor they were married for 59 years. They had 5 children which are still living along with 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
John was raised in Phoenix, Arizona where he lived and worked on his family’s farm; after which he started a career as a barber for a number of years. He then switched to a trade in construction. In 1978 he moved his family to Ogden, Utah where he continued in building a number of residential and commercial buildings throughout Park City and The Wasatch Front until he reached the age of 67. For the following 22 years, he drove for The Ride with Weber Human Services .
John was a man of great faith, and it was manifested in his daily life.
John was a hardworking man that had many hobbies that included traveling, gardening, wood working, and an enthusiastic interest in steam engine trains.
To those who knew him, he was a devoted family man coupled with a keen sense of honesty and integrity.
John is preceded in death by his wife Ann Ritcheson and two brothers who loved him. John will live on through his family who loves him very much.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at 2 pm at the Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 N Monroe Blvd, Ogden, Utah
