John C. Stone passed away October 16, 2014 surrounded by his family. He was born into the family of Clyde Ray and Lois Eleanor Michelson Stone on the 3rd day of December 1931. The youngest child in the family ~ 3 sisters: Cleo, Venyle and Raydell.
John was educated in Ogden, Weber County school system. He married Esther Ruth Bennett on December 22, 1956. He worked at Hill Air Force Base as an Airplane Mechanic and later as a Missile Engineer.
John was active in the community; serving on the planning commission as a Jaycee and Little League Baseball Coach. John enjoyed fishing, hunting & camping with his family.
He is survived by his wife and four children: Terry (OR), Susan (UT), Dawn (Larry) (UT), Bennett (AR); 13 grandchildren: Shelli (Lee), Haley (William), Hillary (Brian), Shannie, Ryker, Trichelle (TJ), Justin (Natalie), Kevin (Julie), Braxton (Kelsi), Jaydan, Kimleighel, Jared and Shawn; also 17 great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
At John's request, Graveside Services only will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11 am at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park , 4500 Washington Blvd, Ogden, UT.
