John Burnett Walker

March 4, 1939 — March 2, 2017

SOUTH WEBER – John Burnett Walker, 78, died Thursday, March 2, 2017. He was born March 4, 1939 in Syracuse, Utah the son of Thora Burnett and Ephraim Charles Walker. He married Patricia Hill November 21, 1964 in Elko, Nevada. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1969.

John attended Davis High School, and Weber State University. He served an LDS Mission to the Carolinas and in church callings throughout his life. He served in the Army in Fort Riley, Kansas and the Berlin Wall. He was known for his fun sense of humor. With his engaging personality, he was a natural salesman. He worked for several companies including Miller Honey and Hawkes Publishing. He enjoyed basketball, baseball, boxing and wrestling. He loved being with family.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia and four children: Patrice (Mike) Moll, Layton; Jennifer (Roger) Dickson, Ogden; Lisa (Floyd) McCoy, South Weber; Randy, Las Vegas NV; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. His son Robert precedes him in death.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 10, 2017 at 11 a.m. at the South Weber Fifth Ward Chapel, 2620 E. 8200 S, South Weber. Interment will be 9:00 a.m. that morning at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd.
